Platform & trust
How args.ai handles your documents, your access, and your keys — stated plainly.
Client documents leave the deployment toward exactly one party: the model provider your firm chooses — on your firm’s own API keys. There is no shared vendor model account. The systems that carry and record AI traffic are part of the platform itself — no third-party services in the document path.
Your firm is the security boundary; access from outside it is denied by default. Inside, access follows the groups your firm defines and is enforced item by item — no one can ever see more than they’re permitted, anywhere in the product.
Set a retention window (0–45 days). The nightly purge deletes inactive conversations and workflow runs along with everything stored with them — documents, images, and other files — and the AI observability traces.
Anthropic, OpenAI, and Google models — switchable per workflow from a configuration screen, with every dollar of model spend itemized on your own accounts.
Every report goes through multiple independent safety checks before anyone opens it: report content is restricted to a fixed set of safe formatting, the document’s structure is verified before it renders, and rendering itself never connects to the network. What comes out is a clean, self-contained document — safe to open, share, and file.
Firms can customize the instructions, models, and reasoning settings a workflow runs on — but only people your firm has given edit permission can change them: changes are made in review and locked when published, so every attorney runs the firm-approved version. The word-for-word claim check and source accounting are built into the system itself — no setting can turn them off. And a validation pass always runs on every drafting step.
If a run is interrupted, it resumes where it stopped — finished steps are never redone, and your documents are unaffected.
We’d rather answer them before the pilot than after.
